Can I change a credit card for monthly donations or does a constiuent have to do so?

Options

A donor got a new credit card and wants to change the card he's using to make monthly donations. Can I change it in Convio or does he have to log-in to his account and do so?

  • Go to Fundraising -> Donation Management -> Sustaining Gifts and search for the donors name.  Click on the edit (pencil) icon.  Scroll down to the billing information section and click on "Enter new credit card."

    To add to this question, once you change the credit card number, can the card be charged at that time or will it only be charged upon the next scheduled monthly gift?  Is there a way to catch donors up on rejected payments without changed the gift duration or increasing the gift amount?

    Allison, I recommend you speak with your Account Manager about setting up your failed payments recovery settings--such as how often and how many times you attempt to resubmit payment during the month.  This will definitely help you recover lost revenue.
