Tribute Gift - Notify the following person form - can address boxes be optional and not required?

Our organization receives a high volume of Tribute/In memory of gifts.  We want to give donors the option to check the box "Notify the following person of my gift", but we have discovered that when they do this additional form fields pop up for the notify person's name and address and that the address boxes are required.  Many of our donors do not know the address for the person they want to be notified.  Is there any way to make these address boxes optional?  As it stands now, donors cannot complete their donation until address information is provided.

We often have the address for the person to be notified in our patient care system, so we do not need donors to provide it to us.

I wish that we were able to edit the text too. I'd like the donor to know that we will notify the family or honoree of the gift automatically so that they don't have to fill this out unless they have specific instructions. Organizations have different needs for these forms and the ability to edit text would be great.

I think you want to post this in the OLX Idea Bank so others can vote.  It looks like the only existing Idea that is similar is this one.


At my previous org, I turned off the built-in Tribute function and used Gift Attributes instead.  Of course, we didn't use the Tribute Module (dropped it early on in my tenure there and got it back with NXT, but didn't go back to using it) and didn't get very many tribute gifts.
