Move Membership from Organization to Individual

I need help merging (moving) a membership on an organization record to an individual record.

There are 15 membership transactions in the membership.

All of the gifts tied to this membership are from the organization.

The individual is currently a joint member but i want to make him the primary member.

I can delete him from the membership when on the organization but cannot merge (the organization wont appear when looking for merge from record...

I think Steven's saying that he's unable to complete step 2 in that process as you cannot merge an organisation record with an individual record - one must be converted first, so that they're both organisations or both individuals. I'm not sure whether I'd recommend converting one record, performing the merge and then converting the record back to the original type, as you would lose any information that is specific to an organisation/individual record type. It could be just as much of a faff to add that info back onto the record as it would be to re-enter the 15 membership transactions on the other record.
