issue with donation page for those who want to support a participant

Options

Hi - I've submitted this as a case for support but still haven't gotten it fixed. our "make a gift" page takes people to a page for runners to register, not a donation page. I don't see where I have the option to change the link...

also, are some of the things you are discussing coming with the change to "Shasta?" I don't have the blog option in our TR set up. thanks.

  • Hey Robin,

There is not a place to set the destination for the "Make a Gift" link. That is taken care of automatically when you associate a donation form to the TeamRaiser on Step 2 of the Process Navigator. Please follow-up with a phone call to Support to get the issue resolved as quickly as possible. It is presenting a barrier for donors to donate which is a big issue.

All of the features that we are seeing in class are currently available. For the option to turn on blogging for participants, you need to go to Step 3 on the Process Navigator, under Related Actions on the bottom/left-hand side of the page select Edit Advanced Options, go to Step b. on the Process Navigator (Define Event Options), and check the box on item #7.

  • I"ve made a change to our TR and registered to test it. I'll see what happens when we sync the information. I believe the problem was that the appeal that was syncing to our offline database became HR donation rather than HR runner and we couldn't differentiate between runners and those donating to support someone else. have you experienced this issue?

    thanks - found it!

  • So here is the issue... .if I associate the TR with the home run donation form so that people can donated on behalf of those participating in the race, the datasync comes down as a HR donation for runners as well as those making a donation. do we need to make this change manually before syncing to our offline database?

As far as I know, there is nothing you can do manually to make that change. It sounds like technical data sync issue that Support will need to resolve.
