- I can't figure out how to to make that a link to our PDF form at http://www.sspca.org/pdfs/MembershipForm.pdf. 

Answer:

For the color of the text, the SSPCA site in Convio has colors associated with the different "Headline" HTML tags... so on the original form, what we did was we put the title text in an <H1> tag... you can do the same thing on another form by highlighting the text in the Convio WYSIWYG and then choose the <h1> from the drop down menu called "Paragraph" (that drop down allows you to apply an HTML tag to highlighted selection).

For the link to the pdf form, you have two options:

You can use the link drop down and select "Web Address" and then create that link as a direct link to the http://... location you listed above, OR you could also take that pdf file, upload it to the Convio document library, and then when you are creating your content in the Convio WYSIWYG you can create a link to the document by using the links drop down to choose a link to the document library and choose that document.

Update this post if we can expand further on either one of these edits -- this is really great that you guys are already building your own donation forms!!  way to go!  Let us know what kinds of questions you run across as you are creating this!

4) Do we have the ability to change how many gift levels there are, and what the amounts are?

Yes, you can change the giving levels when you are editing your donation form.  You can change the levels that are available on your form on the second step... you can add donation levels and/or you can edit the levels taht are already on that form as well.

Steve mentioned in response to my first answer about the WYSIWYG that:

When you edit the HTML caption at the top of the donation form you should be editing that content using the Convio WYSIWYG.  When you click to edit the form, make sure that you are then editing the HTML caption and not one of the other fields.  Does that make sense?  Let me know if you're still not seeing when you edit the text at the top of the form.

(also, as an FYI:  The current Convio WYSIWYG only works when you are logged in as admin using Internet Explorer.  If you are using firefox, you'll need to try with IE instead.  When the new Convio Summer release is available the new Convio WYSIWYG will work in both IE and in Firefox.)

Sorry Adam - no matter how I get to the point of editing the HTML Caption, nothing appears in Normal View - only in Source View.

Hi Steve,

It sounds like the WYSIWYG might be "disabled"...  When you navigate to edit the HTML caption... look at the editing window and click on the link in the top right corner of the wysiwyg to "enable the WYSIWYG".  This should turn the editing tools on for you.

Let me know if this doesn't work...

No luck.  There is a "Disable WYSIWYG" that works (HTML code then appears), but upon enabling it again, I get a blank screen.

Make sure you are editing the HTML caption that is above the Standard donation levels donation form element.  I see on the form that there are two HTML caption fields... one that is above the donation levels and one below it (I'm assuming that the HTML caption underneath the donation levels is to provide for spacing between elements on the form).

I just jumped in to take a look from the admin side, and when you are editing that top HTML caption, there is content in the WYSIWYG when I'm viewing it... Please let me know if you're still not seeing content when you click to edit this and we might have to log a support case to investigate what's going on.  From my end, everything seems to be working as expected - let me know if you're still unable to edit that field...

Gotcha... I'm going to create a Convio support case so that the support team can help us investigate what's going on here.  Steve, I just created that case and you should be able to see it when you navigate to the support desk (from the Convio Customer Center, you can click on the Support link at the top of the page.  this will take you to the Convio Support Desk where you can see your open tickets, or you can create a case if you have a technical issue with the Convio tools).

Steve, in this case, support will most likely ask you for a couple of things:  1) what browser are you using when you log in to make these edits?  2) what kind of computer and operating system were you using?

Anytime you create a support case make sure to provide as much detail as possible and it will really help our support team get to the root of the problem a lot more quickly.

So sorry that we weren't able to resolve this one through community Steve... thanks for your patience and let's see what the support team is able to find.
