Including merchandise and raffle tickets in LO event registration

Options
We have events where we would like people to be able to purchase raffle tickets and merchandise at the same time they purchase their tickets. We are using LO and LCRM/Salesforce. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

  • You could use the eCommerce functionality.

We use eCommerce for our events that ticket purchases are needed.

Check out the one I just finished:

We sell event tickets, raffle tickets and you could sell merchandise as well, since we are just using the product in eCommerce. I know this isn't the optimal solution, but the Events Module doesn't allow for different coding for different ticket options, so we use this method.

Let me know if you have any questions.

  • This is a great idea. Is this LO calendar event
    section with eCommerce?

  • Hi Desiree,

It is just straight eCommerce. We create a Page Wrapper and customize it to what the event design looks like.

For this one we just matched it to our Boards website.

Here is one we are just finishing up:

Hey there, Kim.  I would like to make sure you know about this and anyone else seeking to enable raffle ticket sales through their site, TeamRaiser, Ticketed Events, or via eCommerce.  Buying raffle tickets online is the equivalent of online gambling and you need to be registered in all 50 states and all US territories as a nonprofit charity to list raffle tickets for sale online. The reason is that anyone can access these items from any of those locations. I know there are many law firms out there that specialize in filing for nonprofits to get the exempt status when it comes to online gambling, but I want you to be careful as this is a sticky subject legally.

I hope you find this information useful and consider it from a legal perspective before offering raffle tickets for sale online.

    Thanks,
