RE Event Moduel: Coping,exporting and importing to new event?

Has anyone imported participants to a new event? I have tried to try this and am having issues when it comes to importing. Please, if you have knowledge to offer I would greatly appreciate it.

Are your participants already constituents?  If so, I typically do a Global Add based off an "Individual" query of ID numbers for the participants.

I've found this to be a frustrating process too.  I've discovered that you must have the Constituent's Import ID.  Constituent ID is not available as an import field.


The other columns I include in my import sheet are:

Event ID

(Registrant) Type

Participation

Status

Invite?

Response

Registration

Attended

Key Indicator (I or O for Individual or Organization)

I do this as well, usually as individuals, but I think I've done it both ways.


Anything specific we can help with?
