We created a volunteer survey and the results need to be accessed by Event Managers in the EMC. Is it possible to do that?

  • The answer is yes! But there's a few things you need to do.

    1. Find the survey id number by navigating to Surveys on the Admin side of your site and click Edit next to your volunteer survey. In the URL, you will see the string "survey_id=xxxx" (see the screenshot). On our training site, the Online Volunteer Survey id is 1260.

    2. The survey must be embedded on a Custom TeamRaiser page using the formula below, which basically says, "associate this embedded survey with this TeamRaiser event." This formula can be typed directly into the WYSIWYG and will embed the survey. All you need to do is replace the number in red with your own survey id. The word "volunteer" is a string which supposedly helps the admin identify the report on the back end, though I honestly couldn't find where this showed up. But you can change that to whatever you want.

    3. You can then link directly to that Custom page.

    4. Create a Report Writer TeamRaiser report and select Event Survey as the report model. Configure the columns and on the Filters step, you will select your volunteer survey and the desired TeamRaiser event. Save the report, and then you can push it out to Event Managers.
