Status field in Proposals

I am wondering if anyone out there who utilizes Proposals would be willing to share the options they use for the Status field for their individual giving prospects. I'm looking for options both that work, but also examples of those that do not work. In particular, I am curious how you all update the status field for the many varieties of "completed" proposals - ones that returned a gift, ones that had no response at all, ones that were rejected, ones where cultivation was suspended, etc.


Just brainstorming for better utilization over here

07. Completed
08. Declined
09. On Hold
10. Disqualified

I don't personally deal with our grants a lot, so I don't know if any of these have caused any real problems for our solicitors.

We use:

Qualification

Cultivation

Pre-solicitation

Solicitiation

Pending (awaiting decision)

Verbal Commitment (donor has verbally stated gift will be forthcoming)

Completed (signed pledge paperwork or outright gift has been received)

Declined 

Closed w/o ask (MGO has determined that an ask is not appropriate due to donor interest, finances, or other reason)

Transfered (Initiative has been transfered to a different MGO.  This proposal will be closed and a new one created)

On Hold

Have used for a long time:

1-Discovery

2-Cultivation

3-Solicitation

4-Stewardship

8-Revisit (at a later time)

9-Drop (and never approach)
