Gift Detail and Summary Report - Excluding Constituents Based on Gift Date

I'm trying to run a report on donors who donated in FY2016 but have *not* donated in FY2017. I assume I need to run a Gift Detail and Summary Report for FY2016 but have trouble excluding constituents that donated in FY2017.


Any thoughts? Thanks!

Have you tried Reports > Analytical > LYBUNT (Last year but unfortunately not this)? Depending on how you enter data or what you're looking for you may need to add some filters and/or use a query of donors to last fiscal year.  If the report doesn't give the info you are looking for about the gifts, check to create an output query that you can take to Export.  You may also be able to just pull your info with a query looking at records that have gifts for FY2016 but no gift for FY2017.  While query is a grouping tool, sometimes you can get the info you need without taking the query to Export. 


Just a couple of options to check out.

A  LYBUNT(last year but not this year) report  will be a better option to get the informtion that  you need.
