RE: Events Module - Golf Outings with Dinner

Hello, I am working on creating an event in the Events Module that is a golf outing but also includes a dinner event that same evening. There are people who participate in just golf, just dinner and people who participate in both. Can I just create one event as a Sporting Event since that is the main event and include the dinner portion within. Or would it be best to create the golf portion and the dinner portion separate and group them?

Since it sounds like you're treating registration for each event separately, I would create two separate events and group them.

I agree with Ryan. If it were a simple VIP cocktail hour, I'd say just make 2 different registrant Unit types, but for a Dinner and Golf affair, you would need a "Dinner" event type to make maximum use of the seating wizard and Dinner Preference tracking mechanisms.
