How do I get a printable list of who is in a Group?

Options

You can use mailmerge to create a .csv file with the group members.

1) Go to Mail Merge under Constiuent360

2) Click "Create a New Mail-Merge".

3) Enter Mail Merge name, author, description, security category

4) Select whether you wish to log an interaction for each constituent (this is helpful for tracking both online and offline touches in the contact record).

5) From the list on the left, select the fields you wish to download, or click "Add all" button to select all fields. If you would like to select more than one field, but not the entire list, hold down the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard as you click on individual lines.

6) Click Next step button.

7) Select the Groups you would like to include from the filetree, click Next Step and then Confirm on the following page.

8) View the status of the Mail-Merge, which should be "queued" or "in process."

9) Click on Refresh at the bottom of the table next to the Done button.

10) Mail-Merge file is complete when status reads "Generated."

11)Click on blue floppy-disk icon to download as a csv file.

  • The mail merge works, but what I'd like to know is whether there is a way to re-use a mail merge  "template" without having to rebuild it over and over when I'd like to apply it to another group.

I often upload lists to populate groups and then print out the group membership and email status to see who came up as having bad emails. We're using another product (DPO) for our regular donor database and Convio for donations and email contact. We're not yet using the Service Center, and we're still about a month away from an automatic sync process, so sometimes there's a lag between updating the 2 systems.

Is there a way to re-use a mail merge "template" when you repeatedly need the same info on different groups?
