Standard Operational Procedures - Constituent Records & Data Entry

As we all know managing our donor and constituent database is one of the most important aspects of nonprofit managemnt and to maintain clean and concise data entry is critical to keeping our donor databses usuable.  Our organization has been on RaisersEdge for over 26 years (150K+ records) and therefore, one can only imagine the inconsistencies associated with constituent data records - missing addresses, phone numbers, salutations, telephone numbers without area codes, initals only, etc.   WIth this said does anyone have a standard operational procedures manual or policy that you would be willing to share in order to hold our staff accountable for data entry, as well as, protect the integrity of the data or direct me to a site that has great examples?  Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Leon.

All our staff do data entry, about 35 folks. We have been using Blackbaud products since 1999, and I have been the database manager the whole time. I have created a Constituent Entry Procedure that all my staff use when doing data entry. I also use it as a training tool for new staff. These procedures are pre RE 9.74 so the phone section needs to be updated.
