How to donate to a specific walk?

We use TeamRaiser for our walk events.  Currently, we have it set up so that donations have been made at the walker level.

Is there a way to have donations made to a specific event?  It seems that there are some donors who don't have any particular

walker in mind, but they want to donate to a specific walk event location.  What would be the best way to handle this?

Hi Susan,

On the Find Participants page, there's a link under the Participant Search that says "Click here to give directly". You can change that text to say whatever you'd like by editing your TeamRaiser, going to Step 11: Customize Pages, and customizing the Find a Participant page. The "Give Directly' text is on the bottom of that configuration page, under the HTML Content.

You can also insert this link anywhere you'd like; it's a link to the Donation Form that you associated with the TeamRaiser in the Fundraising Options.

Thank you.  The steps you provided are exactly what I was looking for.  But I now have 3 follow-up questions.

1. On the donation form there is a section where users can enter the "Recognition Name,"  if we would like to display

the names of the donors who donated to the event, how would we do this?  I don't see a component that pulls this information.

2. Is there something to keep in mind when running reports?  Since the money is not associated to a specific walker, how will

this money be listed?  is there a specific report or filter we would have to use?

3. Is there anything else to keep in mind when activating this feature?
