Why is it that when I am processing event registrations from BBNC and after linking the registrant to a constituent record and have indicated I do not want to save updated information, it still updates.  I then have to go into the constituent record and change the information back.


For example:  Jane Doe registers herself and her husband for an event.  I link it to the Constituent record which happens to be in the name of the spouse (John Doe).  It wants me to update the record with Jane Doe's name.  I indicate I do not want to update the information.  When checking the constituent record, I find that John's record has been changed to Jane.

  • Without seeing exactly what you're doing, my guess is that in the NetC plugin you're not unchecking all of the boxes associated with bio updates.  There can be multiple tabs, and if you hop into the constituent record when you close it and look at the checkboxes, they get checked again.  Also, when you process the registration, when it asks you if you want to reject other updates (the bio updates you don't want transferred) you need to click Yes to reject.  
  • Unfortunately, I'm doing all these things (unchecking all the boxes on multiple tabs and saying yes to reject.  It still changes my data.  I have to go into every record and check the information after processing a registration which wasted an incredible amount of time.

    I hope you are having a great week so far! After going through and rejecting the profile updates for the registration, are we then bulk processing the transaction? If we are bulk processing, the plugin will either accept or reject all profile information for all transactions, regardless of the profile update selectiosn for the individual transactions, depending on the settings assigned in the plugin. If we are bulk processing, we can do the following to confirm the settings:
    1. Click the Bulk Processing button in the transaction window.
    2. Click the Option tab.
    3. Select Reject Profile Information or the Accept Profile Information radio button. This will apply for all updates for transactions that you are bulk processing.
