Merging two RE Databases

I have two Raiser's Edge (RE7) Database within our organization that I need to merge. Can anyone share their experience please. Thanks.

    I have never merged 2 RE databases together, but have merged two eTapestry databases into an existing RE database.  The most important thing was to make sure that the information in field A got programmed to go into the right field in RE.  So, you should look at that for your RE databases.  For example, does one put employees as a constituent code and the other as an attribute?  My BB project manager was great, and there was much support along the way.  I also appreciated the "pretend" database that we were given to check through prior to actually going live.
