Using Designated Giving with Donation Levels

Options

A bit of backgound:

  • We use 'donation levels' on donation forms for our membership sales:  $44 for individual, $56 for family, etc.
  • We also have an "additional gift" box on our memership sales forms:  I can purchase a $44 membership and give an additional gift of $1 and my credit card will be charged $45.
  • The membership sale and the additional gift are credited to different accounts. 
  • And we are currently building a datasync and moving to designated giving.  

What I think I know:

  • If I enter a designation on the form, the additional gift would be credited to that designation account (not what we want).

Questions:

  • Is there any way to use 'donation levels' the form and designate what accounts they are to be credited to?
  • If not, has anyone else come up with a creative method of handling this sort of situation?
