Multiple payments within DSP?

I think I already know the answer to this, but want to double check. Is there a way with the new DSP to process multiple DSP payments for the same participant? For example, one at that halfway point to get the total to half of the minimum/committed amount and then at the end to get to the full amount, if the participant hasn't reached each of those dollar amounts by the assigned time. If it's not possible through the system, has anyone figured out any work arounds or ways to manage this 2 payment system?

It can do multiple payments, but it can't be managed for the mid-point payment you want. Once you pull the trigger in the DSP management page the outstanding fundraising amount is charged right then. If multiple payments were selected by the user, they would be on that amount and payments occur from that point forward. I'm pretty sure that any fundraising after that point won't affect the DSP payment amount, so you couldn't just process the DSPs mid-way and have payments adjust themselves.

Thanks, Brian! How would the user select multiple payments? I didn't see that as I was testing in our sandbox.

Sorry, should have mentioned that. Its only available with the older two-step DSP, you just have to build installments into the DSP donation form. The new one-step version is really limited in what you can do and has some pretty disruptive ramifications everywhere - especially discounts and secondary registrations.
