Duplicates in Pivot Report

Options
It came to my attention that the gift Pivot Reports duplicate rows when there are two solicitors on one gift if solicitor is included on the query for the report. Has anyone found a solution for this? I hate to delete one of the solicitors and would like to include them on this report.

Potential solutions really depend on what you're trying to accomplish and what your solicitor credit policies are. For example, instead of gift amount, you could use Solicitor Amount, but this would only work if the total for all Solicitor Amounts = Gift Amount. Similarly, you could try using Solicitor List instead of Solicitor, but this would also likely yield undesirable results.

I just checked, and the field I am using is Solicitor List.

Then most likely there is some other field in criteria, output, or sort that is causing the duplicate issue. This is why it is sadly amusing that Blackbaud makes a mantra of "Query is a grouping tool, not an output tool" then ties query to pivot reports and dashboards.

Your best bet is to review fields in each tab, and pare them down to fields that can have only one value per record. Hopefully that will resolve the issue.
