Common problems when uploading addresses from Outlook

If you're having trouble uploading the address book from Outlook in your TeamRaiser Participant Center, here are some common problems that can point to the cause:

  1. The file is in the wrong format.  For example, make sure that the file was in CSV format if you're doing an CSV upoad.
  2. If uploading a CSV file, the column headers should be "First,", "Last", and "Email".
  3. Invalid email addresses.  They must have a name part and address part, separating by the "@" symbol
  4. Whitespace around values.  Check the file you are importing for extra spaces around the names or email addresses.
