Not Tracking Online Express Transactions in RE

Is it possible to accept a donation through Online Express (non-tax deductible, meaning no receipt), process the gift through BBMS, and not create a new constituent record or link the gift to a constituent in Raiser's Edge? 


We have a need to essentially provide an avenue for monetary transactions to be processed online, raising money for student trips, but we do not want the donors or transactions connected to the typical fundraising tracked in Raiser's Edge. It's definitely an unusual need!


Obviously, there are countless options for online transaction forms. But we're curious if we need to search out a different option, when we already have great looking forms using OLX and BBMS.

I just downloaded OLX gifts so I can't open that window again right now, but I believe that when someone enters their info on your OLX Donation Page the transaction runs right then and there.  You can (I think) remove transactions from the OLX interface, meaning that they'll still appear if you access BBMS directly but you don't have to download them to RE.  By way of a button at the bottom of the download window.


You might try making a small donation yourself and test this.  Or, I think there is a BBMS setting that won't actually charge the cc, just remember to change it back after you test.

You can delete the transaction in Online Express under Edit on the Menu bar.

Jen and Mary, thank you for your responses. Deleting the transaction had crossed my mind, as well, so it makes me happy to think that I wasn't too far off-base. I think I will take your advice, Jen, and try a test transaction. It really could be as easy as this solution!
