Help! I have a complex ticketing form!

Options
Good Evening! I'm hoping you guys can help me because I am stuck!

We are selling tickets for an arts department fundraiser and have to fit in the following on my event registration form:

General Admission tickets

Premium tickets

Option to purchase a DVD of the performance

Make a donation

I seem to be stuck on the DVD part. If the purchaser buys 1 general admission ticket and 1 DVD, it will look like 2 ticket puchases on the next step where they enter their information. If I were the purchaser, I would definitely be confused as to why I enter my information twice.

Have you guys dealt with a similar experience?

  • I may not understand the situation exactly but this is what I came up with:

General Admission Ticket including 1 DVD

    Premium tickeet (including 1 DVD?)

    DVD without ticket

    Make a donation

They can pick the first by itself and enter ## of tickets, and leave DVD at 0.  Does that make sense or work for you?

  • Greetings Jessica,

From your post I can see that you’d like to simplify the process for a user who buys a ticket & DVD. Currently these users are asked for the registrant twice and you’d like it to be one registrant and one ticket all inclusive.  In order to do this we may simply need to add a few tickets and replace some display names.  The new ticket setup would look like below:

    •    General Admission

    •    General Admission w/ DVD

    •    Premium Ticket

    •    Premium Ticket w/ DVD

    •    DVD only

This way anyone who purchases a ticket will be prompted for only one registrant information, and the tickets will still flow across detailed so we know who purchased which.
