Problems running Crystal Reports in RE 7.95.3

Has any one had problems running Crystal Reports in RE 7.95? Since we upgraded from 7.93 to 7.95.3, custom reports some times will not run (RE stops responding and has to be rebooted) and lately we have not even been able to set one up. Additionally, some query control reports (which are really Crystal Reports), will also cause RE to stop responding. Support doesn't have an answer and instead wants me to go on what feels like a wild goose chase with at least 10 widely varying steps they want me to perform. Thanks! Dee

    Look at the posts for problems with 7.95. You will find that 7.95 causes problems with Crystal Reports. What version of Crystal Reports are you using? You may find you have to run Crystal outside of RE to get results.

    I thought this was a known problem that they were working to resolve.  Many custom reports, (not all), will not run in 7.95 even with the most recent patches, and from what I've been reading about 7.96 it doesn't resolve the issue either.  My organization depends heavinly on many very complex custom reports and will not be upgrading past 7.93 until all these issues are resolved (and, quite frankly, I'm considering ceasing payments for annual support until the issues are resolved since they've known about big Crystal issues since 7.94, almost 3 years ago).

    Some of these errors may be related to database maintenance plans and the database log auto growth. Other things to consider is a size of disk where you run Raiser’s Edge; you may need run Windows disk clean up tool to free some space from the Temp folder.
