Job Title

Hello! 


I am hoping to get some help adjusting a job title we currently have. We have a position that we would like to fill that would require prospect research work as well as data entry. The current title for the position is Prospect Data Analyst and I am worried that title is not clear enought that we would want data entry and even some event support. What kinds of job titles are you using that could cover a position like this?

You could use something like Data Management Specialist/Associate.  I wouldn't be a specific as Prospect Data - that does make it a bit narrow to me.  But then again, there's always the bottom line of the job description: "Other duties as assigned."

My title is Development & Database Associate (which encompasses Fundraising and anything Database related (Raiser's Edge, Luminate, VolunteerHub and our Warehoure software).  I know it's not exactly what you are looking for, but it's broad enough for Fundraising and Data Entry.

Hi Kate,  When I first got hired my title was Donor Database and Prospect Research Manager (DSPR).  Kind of a mouthful.  I've been at my current position for ten years now and the job has evolved to "Operations Manager" but I pretty much do the same tasks as I did when I started and then some.  The demand for research waivers a little bit depending on whether or not we are in "Campaign" mode or not.    If its not a management position then perhaps you could use "coordinator instead.  Hope that helps!

We have a position that is Development Coordinator of Research and Processing.  She handles all the gift entry and also all the prospect research.

I agree with JoAnn, Data Management Associate/Specialist would cover all the data tasks for gift processing, event managment and research management.
