Standing Order Bank Details

Options
Hi,

does anyone know whether the bank details can be made optional when entering a standing order? As a standing order is an instruction from the donor to their own bank to pay us funds we don't have visibility of the donors bank details. So we can't effectively add the standing orders to RE because it is mandatory for us to enter details we don't have. Is this an issue for anyone else?

Thanks,

John.

If you aren't initiating the automatic payment, do you need the bank info?  For cases where we receive a direct deposit payment we don't put any bank info on the record.  Gift is entered either as a pledge payment, cash gift or in your case probably a recurring gift with payments.

Just wondering if you need the info.

I know this is an old post but you did not seem to get an answer. We have the same issue so do not use standing orders in RE, instead we enter these payments as Pay method = Other and Gift Subtype=Direct Credit (which is what we call these payments in NZ).
