Prospect Status Configuration

Our organization implemented RENXT a month ago and are in the process of setting up the Prospect Status configurations for our development team.  The question that we have is: What is the best practice in relation to the number of days a donor/prospect stays in a "donor life cycle stage" before they are considered past due?  We realize that it my depend on the organization but as a rule what is a good range? Our prospect status stages consist of the following:

- Identification

- Research

- Strategy

- Cultivation

- Solicitation

- Negotiation

- Stewardship
