Logging In and Logging Out during registration process bugs

In testing our Holiday giving pages that use the personal fundraising capabilties ( http://events.animalhumanesociety.org/site/PageServer?pagename=WishingforWags ) we noticed some bugs in regards to logging in and out of a user account during the registration process.

Scenario 1:

1) user creates a new fund but does not log in to account

2) While collecting user's information, user enters in a username that already exists in the system and receives an error message

3) User remembers they have an account and logs-in at this point in time and gets redirected to main webpage instead of the page they were just on and has to start process over again.

This incorrect redirect does not appear to be a problem with the log-in section as this log-in is embedded in the wrapper of the page and only gives the wrong redirect under this specific scenario....

Scenario 2

1) User creates a new fund while logged in, they get to the screen where they enter their personal information

2) They realize they are logged into the wrong account, and click the log-out button

3) They get redirected back to the 1st page of the fund creation and all text they wrote previously is gone.  Also gone is the NEXT button from the lower left side of the screen so they can't move forward at all in the registration process.  This button continues to be gone even if they log back in again.

Is there anything that can be done about these two problems???
