Connecting Primary and Secondary Registrants Using RELO

How do you use your RELO to connect primary and secondary registrations? Each primary and secondary registrant has a constituent record in RE, but there is not automated relationship between them, the event module does not connect them, TeamRaiser reports list all primary and secondary together. A number of our registrants do not have same last names or same addresses. We have multiple discounts for sponsor levels, staff, families, and earlybirds available, so when a primary participant pays for more than just them, there is no accounting for the portion of their gift not applied toward their own registration. This makes reconciliation an impossible task.

How can I connect primary and secondary registrants to:

• create relationships between their constituent records
• figure out what each primary registrant's additional amount (in transaction report) is covering
