Donation e-cards Not working in test donation forms?

I'm trying to test out using ecards on donation forms and in every test of the form (via test mode), I get a thank you email, but not an ecard actually emailed to me. Do I need to publish a donation page for ecards to work? Anyone have experience here?


In the design donor screens > donation form screen, I have selected every single ecard field available and added it to the form. When I test the form, I add information to each of the fields required (Send Checkbox, Recipients, Selections, Send Date, Send a Copy to Sender, Subject, Message, Preview button). On the Donation confirmation screen I can see these things listed in the summary, but upon hitting submit only receive a single thank you (autoresponder) email, and not any ecard email.


Any ideas?

I had the same problem. I checked with Blackbaud support. Apparently, you can only test the eCard functionality on the donation form by publishing it. You can't test it in any other way.

Thanks for the response Marnee. That's incredibly unfortunate and frustrating. That makes testing so much more costly
