I'm sure this has come up quite a bit, but I can't seem to find any answers to my specific questions. We are revamping our MG Tracking process and I am wondering how to get the metrics on the following:


How long a prospect has been in a particular stage?

How to use action reports to report on how many meetings, phone calls, etc. a solicitor has had in a specific time frame?

How to tell if a particular action resulted in a gift?


I find that we can get a lot of data just by using the dashboards, but these seem to be just beyond the scope of my brain power... ;)

    Have you checked out Action Reports in the Reports section? I know there is a canned report that will run how many actions a solicitor has done. Blackbaud didn't pay me to say this, but Raiser's Edge NXT will automatically display how long a prospect has been in a particular stage. I'm not sure how you would determine if a particular action resulted in a gift.

  • Sunshine is correct - the Action Reports are what you want, specifically the Action Summary Report, which will show you the number of whatever kinds of actions a specific solicitor has taken (although it won't break it out by person for multiple people). I'm pretty sure that the only way to tell if a particular action resulted in a gift is if you have the action connected to a proposal, though, and then to query for the proposals along with the action info and funded amount.


    The Proposal Analysis report will tell you how many days a proposal has been open, but not anything deeper than that.

    I second what Sunshine and Daniel said and will add that the Gift Tab and the Action and Propects Tabs all link.  So you can link a gift or gifts to a Proposal or to an Action.  That would tell you if the cultivation resulted in a $$ return without someone having to click all over the place, and it should then show up in the reporting.
