Tracking Golf Foursomes

Hi all,


So, we have a golf outing coming up and I'm wondering where you all track the Foursome assignments.


We have the event module, so this will all be tracked there, but I'm curious if you track it under "Other Info"..."Team" OR through the seating functionality, basically using it to build foursomes, rather than seating tables.


I believe we've done it under the seating charts in the past since it's easy-ish to see it all at one time and move around as needed.


Thoughts?  Suggestions?

Under the More Info button on the Registrant we have used the Team Information section to track this information (Division = starting hole #, Team = A or B {we many times have 2 foursomes starting on each hole so this is used to distinguish between the two foursomes}, Position = Cart 1 or Cart 2 {since we only have 2 golfers per golf cart we kept track of which 2 golfers from each foursome would be in a cart together}).  I hope this helps.

We've done something similar with the More Info button in the past. Since most of my foursomes register through a sponsor, I also find labeling my golfers as a "Guest of" helps with most of my sorting.

Now, I use the attributes more since we are taking online registrations through OLX (NetCommunity, before). The golfer/sponsor adds their attributes online (shirt size, gender, handicap, etc.) and I can go back and add the starting hole when we are ready to set up a player roster.
