NXT analyze - save a view

Options
What am I missing? The help function states that you can use filters and save those filters for the same view each time and even schedule a PDF report of that particular view to be sent out. Instructions are pasted below from the help menu within NXT. However, I can't find the view menu or any other way to implement step 2. I'd appreciate your insight here.

When you review metrics in Analyze, you can use filters to include only records that meet specific criteria. For frequently-used filter selections, we recommend you save their view for your personal reuse. To apply saved filters to the metrics for current analysis based on their criteria, select their view from the View menu.

Tip: To quickly reset the filters and clear your selections, choose "Default view" from the View menu.

OpenSave a view of Analyze filters

  1. In Analyze, select the filters to apply to the metrics.

  2. Select Unsaved View, Save current view.

  3. To help identify the filter settings, enter a name for their view.

  4. Choose which filters to include in the saved view.

Note: Any filters you don't include in the saved view use their default values, and filters set to All or no value aren't included.

  5. Select Save.

  • Are you seeing these options at the top right corner of the window?

If you are not (they should be on each Tab of Analyze), check to be sure you have full Rights to Analyze.  And then contact Support.
  • Ah okay...that explains it. I don't see that but I do have full Analyze rights. You know what? It's a web browser issue. I was using Firefox and it's not displaying. Thanks for that help, Jen.
  • That's interesting, because I use Firefox exclusively for everything work-related.  So the screen shot in my comment is from Firefox.  Hmm.

I also use Firefox and have the printer icon. I wonder if you just need to update your version??? Now.... if we could save and print lists, that would be really helpful!!!

Hey Kate! First off, thanks for using the Help! Always good to see use of our self-help resources like the Help content. As for the Saved Views and PDF options you aren't seeing in Analyze, those features only appear in desktop mode, and not on your tablet or smart phone. However, since you're using Firefox, I'll hazard a guess that you are actually using Analyze on your desktop or laptop and not seeing those options? If that's the case, it may be due to the width of your browser or monitor itself, as that's what Raiser's Edge NXT uses to determine which "mode" it's being viewed in. Make sure your browser extends the width of your monitor and see if that resolves the issue for you. If not, can you let me know the size of your monitor and I'll pass that along to see if we need to make adjustments on our end? Thanks!

  • Hi Steve,

Revisiting an old thread, I wanted to check in to see if there is a plan to allow for the switching between and saving of Analyze views via a mobile web browser?  We are pushing our front line fundraisers exclusively to the web view and unfortunately, the Analyze views that they utilize regularly are unavailable when they are away from their workstations (which is often).  The ability to switch and save would make the web view truly functional as a mobile solution.

    Thank you,
