Designee options on donation Form

have a few donation forms that require an option to choose designations however, the cross reference does not come over through the RELO plug in.  This causes alot of manuel work for the RE people and potential for errors.  Any suggustions

My name is Jeremiah Swann and I am a Technical Consultant II with Blackbaud's Professional Services - Technical Services team. I noticed your community post and wanted to provide a response outlining some items for consideration with your desingations.
Cross-Referencing Designations in Luminate Online

In Luminate Online you will need to cross-reference your designatinos in order for them to come over as linked funds in Raiser's Edge. The designation can be cross-referenced to a single fund in Raiser's Edge. Two different designations cannot be linked to the same fund in Raiser's Edge. If you have two designations that go to the same fund you will need to combine the names into one designation entry. Designations are built to be restricted giving options. The Luminate Online name of the designation will not come into Raiser's Edge.

To cross-reference designations in Luminate Online to funds in Raiser's Edge:


In Luminate Online:

1. Login as an administrator
2. Go to Fundraising>Donation Management
3. Then select the tab from the upper level of the screen titled "Designated Giving"
4. Find a designee and select "Edit"
5. Select "4. Configure Cross References" from the left side navigation menu
6. Select the Fund Cross-Reference that you would like to use for the designation.
7. Select "Save"

Hi - I am having this same issue only I just need to set up the categories,.... and have a go live date of TODAY, so I'm in a bit of a panic. I have seen this direction a few times: the problem for me is I HAVE NO TAB called Designated Giving. I have under Fundraising: Donation Management - the options then are Sustaining Gifts Donation Reports General Configurations

Online Giving

and none of these allow me to create options in my form.

The directions state this, but I have no tab for Designated Giving! Where is it?

I'd recommend calling Support to find out why that option isn't displaying. You're looking in the right place. It should be an option to the right of Sustaining Gifts.
