Canadian Receipts-Report on number of receipts issued and total of gifts receipted

We are looking for a way to report on the number of receipts issued and the value of all receipted gifts. We know we can run the receipts report, but this only gives the number of gifts and the total, rather than the number of receipts. We know we can query on the receipt information and either export from the query results or use the query in a pivot report, but for Canadian organizations, we believe this information should be available, possibly as a column option, in the canned Receipt report. Have any Canadian organizations found an alternate solution to the ones listed above? 

We are also looking for a way to print consolidated receipts to reflect monthly giving only and have additional gifts appear on a single receipt. Has anyone had any experience separating the receipts in this way?

Hi Chrissy, We also run exports to get information about receipts from RE. To separate one-time from monthly donor for receipting, have you tried just listing "recurring gift pay cash" under gift types tab? Good luck. Brinda
