Solicitors assigned on Action Tracks

Options
Hello,

I am having a difficult time getting our action tracks assigned to the correct solicitor.  One of our solicitors was moved from primary to secondary and a primary solicitor was added.  There was a previous action track assigned to the now secondary solicitor, so I don't know if it is still having an affect on the record.  When it asks "If the track has already been assigned to the constituent(s)..." I select "Yes" as "No" won't assign the track.  When I add the track and go back to the record, the secondary solicitor is still assigned.  I played around a bit and tried changing the default to primary solicitor via Action>Load Defaults From ...still no effect.  I tried adjusting the dates from when the solicitors were assigned...still no effect.  I tried changing the solicitor on the action itself, completing it, and it still defaults to the original solicitor.  Any ideas on how this can be fixed and what I am doing wrong?

Thanks,

Eddie

  • I'm not completely certain my test mirrors what your issue is, but I set up an Action Track to use the Primary Solicitor, Assigned it to one of my dummy records, and confirmed the first Action on the Record.  I switched the Primary Solicitor to be Secondary, added a new Primary Solicitor, saved the Constituent Record, marked the Action as Completed so that it meets the Conditions for the next Action in the Track, and when I saved the Action, the second Action was created...using the now-Primary Solicitor.  That seems to be what you wanted to have happen, but didn't happen in your case.

Unless I'm missing something, I think you'll probably need to contact BB Support on this one.  (I'm by no means an expert on Action Tracks...never found time to figure them out on my own, and while my former boss always wanted me to learn this feature, we didn't have a training subscription until last month, and I just took the Moves Mgmt class last night.  But since no one else has chimed in with a response....)

Thank you, Jen.  I think I will reach out to BB support.  I attempted what you were able to do and no success (I even restarted RE).

    Happy Friday!
