Helpful MultiCenter Settings

Options

Center specific options (e.g. default center email address)

Typically the standard settings are configured at the site level.  However, for centers, you can configure these things at a center level.  The site level options are still there as a fallback, but in almost all scenarios constituents will see the center level settings.  These settings include:

  • The center's homepage
  • The center's page_not_found page
  • The center's default pagewrapper
  • The center's "Public Name": This is the name constituents will see in the bar on top of the browser when viewing your site.  For example, our site title is "Nonprofit Software | Online Fundraising & Marketing | Donation Database":

To get to these settings:

  1. Go to "Setup" > "MultiCenter Management".
  2. Find and "Edit" the center you would like to change.

Edit some of your default pages to be center specific

Some default pages cannot yet be setup to be center specific but a few can.  To get to these:

  1. Go to "Setup" > "MultiCenter Management".
  2. Find and "Edit" the center you would like to change.
  3. Click on "Customize Standard Pages" on the left.

Advanced center specific settings

These settings are a bit more complicated.  If you do not understand them, don't change them.  To get to those:

  1. Select "Switch to another center" at the top left corner of your screen.
  2. Select a center and click on the "Switch to Center" button.
  3. Click on the "Edit Center-Level Options" link at the bottom of the page.

If you are already in a specific center, the steps are a little different:

  1. Select the "Convio" icon at the top left corner of your screen.
  2. Click on the "Edit Center-Level Options" link at the bottom of the page.

Center admin permission

You can configure center admin permissions the usual way.  However, if the center admins are only going to have access to a specific center, that is not the simpler way to setup their permissions.  To get to a simpler way to setup center admin permissions:

  1. Select "Switch to another center" at the top left corner of your screen.
  2. Select a center and click on the "Switch to Center" button.
  3. Click on the "Manage Administrators" link at the bottom of the page.

If you are already in a specific center, as above, the steps are a little different:

  1. Select the "Convio" icon at the top left corner of your screen.
  2. Click on the "Manage Administrators" link at the bottom of the page.
