Alumni Participation counts

Is there a report in RE for counting the number of alums that have given in a certain time?  For the Fiscal Year, we want to report the number of alums that gave.  (If they gave multiple times, they are only counted once).  If the alum is married to an alum, then they would both be counted.


I'm assuming that I use constituent code...but not sure which report works best.

There is one that we use.  Reports->Demographic and Statisical Reports->Comparisons and Summaries.  Go through the tabs and check the options you want (SC or not, gift types, etc.)

In the Fields tab, choose constituency code as the Field to use and your alumni contituencies in the Include These field values.

In the Filters tab, choose the alumni constituencies in the constituent code filters.

In the Report Periods tab choose your date range.

Either the report Pam instructs you about or if you also want to know what different Funds they gave to, you can pull the Financial Report -- Gift Detail and Summary, also indicating SC and go through the rest of the tab and choose accordingly.  You might even want to compare the two reports.


Please note, that on either report you must be mindful of the Pledge vs. Pledge Payment vs. Pledge Balance if you are also looking to see who much $$ was raised.  This also goes for both reports.
