import new constituents to new group

I see in Data Sync Operations you can do a group upload, but that applies to exisiting constituents. How do we do a group upload for new constituents?

I have a list of people in a csv document and would like to upload them into convio. I would like all these people to be uploaded into a new group. It's doubtful that any of these people are exisiting constituents.

In order to add the constituents to a group using the Group Assignment Upload, you need to first run a Standard Constituent Import to create records for each constituent. Instead, I'd suggest using the Custom Constituent Import, which allows you to perform both tasks in a single operation:
