Suggestions on How to Expand Current Constituent's Interests

Hello,

We migrated to Convio from GetActive last year and are finally having a chance to address how we can optimize our use of the tools that Convio offers.

Originally in GetActive we had three specific "Centers" for three different kinds of email communications. Those have been migrated as interest groups in Convio, but we are now of the thinking that two of these groups could really be receiving the same kind of messaging, that they don't have to be so rigidly segmented. But they haven't specifically "opted in" to a more general "news from us" subscription.

Does anyone have any experience with this kind of situation and what was your solution to basically try and merge pre-existing subscriptions?
