Donor Category reports - missing constituents

I'm running donor category reports for my organization's year-end, and I'm finding some major difficulties. When I filter gifts by constituent code (Individual and Family Fund), many gifts are excluded, even when they have the correct constituent code on them. I've tried adjusting dates for the constituent's own constituent codes, but those don't seem to make a difference. What could be causing this?

I don't use this report much but some possibilitiies... what other things are you filtering on?  I believe the constituent code filter for the report is for the constituent record, not the constituency on the gift.  Don't that gift constituency matters here. 


On tab 7 format, I'd double check to for correct donor category table and that you have all desired options selected.  Is donor category table set up for what you want back in the table?

Just a couple of thoughts...

It actually turns out the answer was the constituency code dates - a lot of gifts had constituency code date-froms later than the gift date, and therefore the gifts weren't being included in reporting. Updating the date-froms with an import seems to have solved the issue.

The soft credit thing not being chosen properly for how you utlize it may be the culprit.  Or the Gift Types included?


It's not just about meeting the Constituent Code requirment, it's the other $$ requirements also.

Do your missing Constituent Codes contain dates in the Date To
field? If so, Raiser’s Edge will view these as inactive and move to
the next available constituent code on the list that does not
contain a date in the Date To field.
