Add a custom field to the Transaction Information

Hi!


I would like to customize one of the fields in the transaction information.  I've done this before, but I've searched LO and the forums high and low and have not been able to fine the place to add and customize these.  I've circled in orange the fields I'm looking to target in the attached images.


I would appreciate any guidence you guys could give.

I think you're looking for Site Options > Database Configuration > Biographical Information section.


Most admins do not have access to this section, contact support to get it.

Hey Brian, thank you for the reply!  I do have access to that section of the website and unfortuately that adds to the constituent, whereas I need to add the custom field to the transaction.

The DB Config fields would provide a place to store that information on the contact record itself. I actually didn't notice that your second graphic circled CRM and not the Contact. You might cross post in the LCRM forum for that part. That toy isn't in my toybox.

I have the custom field created.  That looks like it will work for what I'm trying to do, but do you know how to add a custom field to this list?(see image below)  I believe the TranSourceCode is something custom I added a long time ago, and I've fogotten how I did it.

How do I create a custom donation field and map it to a custom field in LCRM?

I need to create a custom donation field, and have information flow from Luminate CRM to Luminate Online. How do I create the donation field?

 

You will first need to create the custom donation field in LCRM, by following the steps below.

1. Click Setup at the top-right corner of your screen (you may have to click on your name to see Setup)
2. Under App Setup on the left panel, click the down arrow next to Opportunities
3. Select Fields
4. Below the standard fields, click New
5. Choose the data type for your custom field
   • Note: The data types between Luminate and LCRM will need to match. LCRM refers to the data types differently than Luminate does. To see a table of data types, see Create and map custom fields between Luminate Online and Luminate CRM
6. Give the field a Label and a Name. The label and name can be the same, but the name can't contain any spaces. The spaces are most commonly replaced with underscores.
7. Click Next
8. Click Save

Now that your field exists in LCRM, it is time to map the field to Luminate Online. Follow the steps below to do so.

1. Go to Fundraising > select Donation Management
2. Select the All Donation Forms tab
3. Find the donation form and click Edit
4. Go to step 3. Design Donor Screens
5. Click Edit next to Donation Form
6. Click New under the list of fields
7. Select the field in Luminate CRM to which you want to map this field

Once you create the custom field in the donation form, you can map the donation fields between both systems.
