Hello,


I'm wondering how other sites track their donor stewardship in Raisers Edge.   We would like to track, and create a process, for sending stewardship reports to our donors.   We just started setting up proposals for all our major donors, and now we want to set up a process for stewardship reporting.   Would this best be tracked on the proposal tab through the attributes and actions, or on the gift/pledge tab?   Are actions the best way for tracking documents to be sent, and completed?   I was thinking of adding an attribute to be able to identify who is currently "in stewardship", not sure if i should add it to the Proposal Attribute, Gift Attribute, or just the general Attribute.

  • Look into Actions and Action Tracks both.  They've been invaluable. for our office.  If it is appropriate for your process, setting up solicitors and assigning constituents to your solicitors might help with tracking who's in your stewardship process better than an attribute might, but an attribute would work as well. 


    If you end up going with attributes, I'd either set it up under proprosal or constituent (general) and have it be a drop down option for what stage that person is in.  You could then both query and report on who is in what step in the process.

  • I would say Actions would be the way to go.  That way you can track the different steps/stages of stewardship, which always cycles back around the next time there is a gift.  FYI  the Actions are linked to Proposal as is the gift tab.
