Raisers Edge 7.95 and MapPoint 2009

Have a user requesting mapPoint 2009 be installed on a workstation that has the RE client.  User stated that this is a component of Raisers Edge.   Does Map Point intergrate with RE?  If so, How do I install Map Point 2009 and configure it into RE 7.95?

I know that once upon a time there was an integration (I used it 5-6 years ago). I'm not sure if it's functional now because I remember some upgrade broke it (but I can't remember if it was an upgrade to RE, MapPoint, or Windows in general). I think it is an additional charge for the integration and it was nice to have, but when things broke and nobody could fix it, I just gave up and went back to exporting data from RE to MapPoint.


If you're using it for basic zip code queries, I know Omatic has a solution that can do that really quickly. We may be going to that since MapPoint is no longer being updated by Microsoft so new zip codes won't be found on our current software.
