Can someone recommend a training course for employees new to Raiser's edge who will be using the software in Donor Relations and Annual Giving capacities?

Do you have a policies and procedures manual for your organization? I know Blackbaud has a lot of training available (the RE trainings are here: https://www.blackbaud.com/files/resources/downloads/Datasheet_Training_Learn_RE.pdf) but even with that I recommend some written documentation on how your organization specifically uses RE. I know there are some good manuals out there that people would be happy to share.

    David,

Great question! Our fundamentals series is perfect for someone new to Raiser's Edge or wanting to make sure they have the fundamentals down.

Once they are done with the Fundamentals, we have a great selection of Fundraising courses.

You can find the Fundamentals and Fundraising courses under each of their headers on our course catalog

Please let me know if you have any questions about them.

    Thanks!

Thank you, Amy. I can see that a policies and procedures manual will have a benefit of consistency applied to the church over time.

RE Essentials covered all the basics when I took it.  Then as mentioned users need to know the particulars on your org's procedures.

I was fortunate to be able to take an RE fundamentals class through Blackbaud many years ago when I first got my job. Work places sometimes avoid those because they think they're expensive, but they are well worth it. I've worked with many people who never had any training and it really shows.

    Good point, Karen, and thanks!

  • I highly recommend the online training----both the webinars, and the self-paced videos.  I have used those a lot, and often refer back to them when a question arises.
  • Thank you, Dawn
