Creating an email from a survey response list

Options

Foolishly I assumed  that creating a distribution list from folks who responded to a survey would be simple.  Am I missing something here?  How can I do this?

I would like to send a reminder out about the event they responded to attend, I would rather not use outlook but is that easier?

  • Jessica,

If you edit the Survey, at the bottom left under Related Actions you'll see the option "Associate Groups and Interests". This is how you can automatically add everyone who takes a given Survey to a Group. Of course, setting a group here on an existing Survey will not retroactively add everyone who took the Survey to the Group. To add those constituents who already took a Survey to a Group, you'd need to click Download Survey Responses to export the list of constituents, then import the list back into the appropriate Group using the Custom Constituent Import.

How do I get the Import to go to the group and not just upload contacts?

Just include a column with the header Group ID, with the numeric ID of the Group you want to add constituents to.
