Can we restart a cancelled sustaining gift?

-- what you describe above is correct.  The only way to start the sustaining gift back up will be to re-enter the information.  Convio does not store credit card information on our servers so there is not a way for you to reinitialize that gift.  Also, as you mention above, if you put in that transaction information now, the card will be charged effectively immediately.  There is not a way to start a sustaining gift but have it start billing the card later.
