How do I de-dupe all of my constituents at once?

Options
  1. Go to Tasks:

  1. Go to the “Task List” tab:

  1. Search for the “Duplicate Finder” task (note that your de-dupe task may have a slightly different name, e.g. "de-dupe task"):

  1. Run the task:

  1. Click on “Refresh” until the task is complete (or you can do something else, like take a lunch break, come back, and refresh):

  1. Go to the “To Do List” tab

  1. Click on “Duplicate Finder” (note that your de-dupe task may have a slightly different name, e.g. "de-dupe task"):

  2. Select the duplicate button:

  • In the right column above there are three boxes you can select from:

    • The left button brings up a new window to preview the constituent record.

    • The middle button takes you to the next step of the de-dupe process.

    • The right button marks the records as “not a duplicate”.  Once the records are marked as “not a duplicate”, they will never show up again in a duplicate search.  This is typically used for “John Smith” scenarios.

  1. Select which fields to move over and click “Save”.
