Blackbaud Champ Challenge - becoming certified

I've have the challenge to post "Why was becoming certified important to you and/or your organization?"  

It was very important for me to become certified because that meant I had a clear understanding of what I was doing and how everything worked in Raiser's Edge and that I was the person who could help the rest of my team who had questions.  It was an accomplishment for myself that I was comfortable helping everyone because I knew what I was doing.  Even now, taking all the badge exams I am still learning something new every class and that's makes me happ.
