What is the Autoresponder Center?

The Autoresponder Center enables you to configure site default email message types that the system can send in response to certain actions taken by your constituents. You can configure the message envelope, stationery, and body content of these site default autoresponders to add text, formatting, and branding elements of your organization as well as create a consistent look and feel among them.

In the Autoresponder Center not only can you set up default autoresponders for applications but you can also setup autoresponders for registration.  Below are the registration autoresponders and their purpose:

The first four autoresponders are triggered by options in the UserLogin on your site, e.g. http://www.easterseals.com/site/UserLogin.

The "New User" autoresponder is sent when a new user registers for your site.  This will not, by default, be sent when a constituent takes an action such as donation, sending an action alert, taking a survey, etc.  This autoresponder is primarily sent when a constituent registers for your site through the default ConsProfileUser page, e.g. http://www.easterseals.com/site/ConsProfileUser.  (That link will only show you the registration screen if you are not logged in.  If you are logged in, click on "Logout" on the top of the page to see the page as a registration page.)

The "Transaction Update" autoresponder is sent when someone makes a donation and changes their address or name while donating.  There are Convio admin settings to turn that on and off.  They are off by default which means that by default the autoresponder is never sent.  Contact your Account Manager to discuss the pros and cons of turning the settings on.

How do I find the registration autoresponders?

To find the registration autoresponders, go to "Setup" > "Autoresponder Center" in your menus.  For more information on setting up the autoresponders in the Autoresponder Center, go to "Setup" > "Autoresponder Center" and then click on "Help" at the very top of your screen on the right.
