Who is using RaisersEdge & Convio, but not RE Connector?

I don't manage the import and export of data between the 2 systems, but our Execs are questioning if it is duplication of work. Any feedback on how you might have handled questions like this from your exec team and how you currently manage the flow of information between the two systems. Is it working? Lessons learned to make it easier?
